In the mid-1970s, Jay Bergen represented John Lennon in a weeks-long trial, in the Southern District of New York, over the rights to Lennon’s “Rock ‘N Roll” album.
Bergen recounts it all in his new book - “Lennon, the Mobster & the Lawyer.”
It’s a remarkable tale – the legal nuts and bolts of the case and trial and what it’s like to be John Lennon’s lawyer. The book also gets into Lennon’s creative process and the impact that a bootleg record had on his reputation.
