In the early 1970s, FDA’s chief counsel, Peter Barton Hutt, created the nutrition label on foods. How he used the law to pull it off was remarkable. At 90, he is still going strong. Five days a week -- in the office -- at Covington & Burling in Washington, D.C.
I recently interviewed Peter for the ABA Journal website. He addressed how he brought the nutrition label to life -- and told me where to go for a great hot dog.
I hope you can check it out.
